FLY 51: a narrow band of glass along the run, Kaszmir

The same horizontal carcass of 160 by 30 at a depth of 29, but a band of glass crosses the front. It runs almost the full length of the flap, so the cupboard reads as a line of light rather than a closed box.

What it consists of

The glass on the front takes a band of 147.5 by 13.7 centimetres. Two compartments sit inside, the lighting is white and set behind the glass, so the glow shows with the flap closed. The front rises on gas stays and opens on a press.

Who it suits

For a living room that wants light on the wall without room for a tall cabinet. The band works above a unit carrying the screen, or on its own above the sofa. Another case is a dining area: glasses stand behind the glass, and in the evening the line of light replaces a wall lamp.

Materials and finish

Chipboard with a laminate face, carcass and fronts in one Kaszmir decor: a warm grey beige tone with no grain drawn on it. The surface is matt and keeps no fingerprints, unlike the gloss versions of the same range. ASM Meble factory, Poland, twelve month guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glass clear or frosted?
The band is clear, the upper tier of the contents shows through it, and the lower part is closed with board.

Can it hang vertically?
No, the carcass and the stays are made for a horizontal position.

More about this piece

Laminated chipboard

Wood particles pressed into a solid board and faced with laminate on both sides. The workhorse of cabinet furniture: holds its shape, tolerates everyday moisture, wipes clean.

Gloss finish

Reflects light and makes a piece look lighter. Fingerprints show more on dark gloss, so it needs wiping more often.

Matt finish

No reflections, and it hides fingerprints and light scratches. In a small room it reads calmer than gloss.

Wall-mounted

Fixed to the wall with clear floor beneath: easier cleaning, lighter-looking room. Fixings depend on your wall type and are not supplied.

Manufacturer warranty

The factory warranty runs 12 месяцев from delivery. It covers material and assembly defects, but not natural wear or damage caused by misuse.

Made in Poland

Shipped straight from the factory, built to European furniture manufacturing standards.
