JANTAR display cabinet on a plinth: oak down to the floor

The same JANTAR carcass, this time set on a solid timber plinth. With no gap at floor level the cabinet reads as one calm block of oak, and it sits more comfortably alongside a rug, a timber floor or a tall skirting board. The glazed and lit compartment, the solid door of horizontal oak slats and the vertical decorative strip between them are unchanged.

What it is made of

• solid timber plinth, the carcass meets the floor
• compartment behind tinted glass with two glass shelves
• LED lighting for the glazed section, included
• a solid door under the display and a second one at full height beside it
• vertical strip in one of four finishes: a glowing amber panel, HPL with a marble pattern, lacobel or an oak board
• rounded carcass corners and a recessed black line instead of handles

Who it suits

Rooms with a classic mood, where furniture on slim legs looks out of place. Homes with rugs: a plinth collects neither dust nor the edge of the carpet. And families with small children, who prefer nothing rolling underneath. In an Israeli flat with tiled floors a continuous base also hides an uneven screed better than four separate feet.

Size and what fits

The cabinet takes 111 cm along the wall, projects 45 cm from it and rises to 197 cm. That is six centimetres lower than the version on metal legs, which tells in a room with a low ceiling or where a picture hangs above. Two glass shelves hold a dinner service, a set of glasses and a dozen books; the lower compartments are closed by solid fronts.

Materials and finish

Solid oak together with board in natural oak veneer, rustic oak finish, lacquered surfaces. The plinth uses the same timber as the carcass and does not stand out. Built at the MEBIN factory in Poland, one year warranty.
