JANTAR chest of drawers, 2 doors and 3 drawers, 160 cm, plinth base

JANTAR sideboard 160 cm with drawers, on a plinth

Drawers and doors in one carcass set on a continuous timber base. The height comes out at 71 cm, which puts the chest at exactly the level of an ordinary work surface. Three drawers occupy their section, two doors close the rest, and a vertical band divides the front in two.

What it is made of

• three pull out drawers
• two doors with closed compartments
• timber plinth instead of legs
• there is an oak band, a black glass one, a stone-look HPL one and a lit one
• smooth fronts gripped by a recessed line
• rustic oak finish under lacquer

Who it suits

An entrance hall: drawers for keys, gloves and odds and ends, shoes and bags behind the doors, room on top for a lamp and a basket. A carpeted bedroom. And a room where other JANTAR pieces on plinths already stand, so the bottom of the furniture runs on one line.

Size and what fits

The chest measures 160 cm along the wall, 52 cm deep and 71 cm high. The drawer section takes about a third of the front, the door section two thirds. Behind the doors go shoes in boxes, a mid sized vacuum cleaner and cartons of household things.

How it sits in the room

In a hallway it matters that the chest does not foul the front door: 52 cm of depth is noticeable, and a corridor narrower than a metre and a half will feel tight with it. A continuous base is welcome where cold or dust travels along the floor, since there is simply no space beneath the piece.

Materials and finish

What it is made from: solid oak and board veneered in the same timber. Rustic oak tone, lacquered, oak plinth. Built by MEBIN of Poland, a year of warranty.
